Accommodation in Tauranga, NZ

Of all the places in Tauranga Bethlehem would have to be one of the most peaceful and complete suburbs to stay. It has an abundance of amenities and services to offer, if it for the corporate traveller to the whole family reunion Bethlehem town centre is the tip of the ice berg of what is available in this extension of the Tauranga city and business districts.

Moffat road is just off State Highway 2, which provides a seamless access to and from the Tauranga CBD and Bethlehem Motor Inn, in fact just 5 minutes by car to Elizabeth Street, which is the centre of Tauranga CBD and 15 minutes to Mount Maunganui. Corporate travellers love this accessibility especially those who really appreciate a good quiet nights sleep, as we do not have to put up with the hustle and bustle that other Tauranga locations do.

Just 400 meters down the road Bethlehem Town centre is growing continuously, retail shops from fashion and furniture to Day spa/massage therapy, Gyms, ANZ Bank, New Zealand Post and Countdown to name a few are conveniently located within the shopping centre and are extremely handy when you do not want to get caught up in CBD traffic.

Our guests love the fact that they do not need to go into town to have a decent meal, once again the Bethlehem has not one but two award winning restaurant in Somerset Cottage and Mill Reef Winery. In fact we at Bethlehem Motor Inn highly recommend both of these regularly as stand outs for quality and consistency as you can be assured of nothing but a great culinary experience. Bethlehem comes to the table again with many more options for meal times including CSB Bistro a great local bar with another delectable menu on offer, however it is never an easy choice when you also have Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Roasts, Fish and Chips, Pizza, two great cafes and two of the best bakeries in Tauranga to choose from.

Tauranga has some fantastic tourist attractions, which is another thing that Bethlehem has its fair share of, but if it is not in Bethlehem than you can be sure it is only a short drive. Weather it is wine tasting at Mills Reef one of New Zealand’s international award winning wineries, spending the day 5 minutes north on state highway 2 at Waimarino kayaking adventure park, relaxing at Fernland spas or a walk on one of the peaceful walking tracks.

Why Bethlehem? Well why not, it has something for everyone and is the set in one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas in New Zealand.
